How Clean Is Your Telephone?
Published on Tuesday, 27 April 2010
You may have already cleaned every corner of your home including the bed sheets. But one thing you could have forgotten is the telephone. Remember that you also put the phone close to the face. What's worse is many people use it day in and day out too. Oil and dirt from other people's faces is caught by the phone. That is why you should take time to clean your telephone as often as you can. Unplug the phone first. Then you can spray an all-purpose cleaner on a clean piece of cloth and wipe the whole phone. Concentrate disinfecting the receiver part of the phone because it is the part that touches the face. To clean the holes, you can use pins and toothpicks. Just be careful that you do not punch holes into the microphone and speaker. Always spray the cleaner into the cloth and not on the phone. Never allow liquid into the phone to prevent damaging it. But if you accidentally wet the inside the phone, simply turn over the phone and let it dry for at least a day. Use it only when you are sure that it has completely dried to prevent damage. To clean the dial pad, use cotton swabs instead. Wet it with alcohol before individual cleaning the numbers and the spaces in between them. To even clean the keys more thoroughly, spray some more cleaner to a clean cloth again and wipe them pressed down so you can rub number keys clean.
