How to Teach and Train Children Bedroom Cleanliness and Orderliness
Published on Wednesday, 02 February 2011
At an early age, children should already be taught how to put things in their proper places. This would not teach them the correct habits but it would also make things easier for you. By teaching them about tidiness cleanliness, you also won't have to develop a headache every time you step into their rooms. Of course, they would also benefit from this training once they grow up. The trick to minimizing the clutter is to minimize the number of toys in the room. And so, you should keep at least half of the toys that your kid has accumulated. Surely, they would still have enough toys. You can then rotate the other toys back so your kid can play with them too. But if there are toys that they no longer play with, you can give them away to other children. Then to help them prevent the clutter, you should supply them with boxes and other containers. Label all the containers so your kids would know where to put each type of toy. You can also put a bookshelf where your kids can put their toys in. In addition to that, you should have pegs and hooks for the other items in the room. Of course, at the start you have to teach and remind them about tidying up their rooms. Set a day for this activity. Then you should show a good example by putting back things after using. Reinforce this by telling your kid that he or she should do the same. This way, the room would be tidy and clean every day. Constant reminder may be needed at the start. But once they acquire the habit, things would be easier for everyone.
